Brayden turns 11...

Although this boy is only 11, he is already obsessed with girls. He decided for his 11 year old party to go to Classic Skating, in hopes a cute girl would ask him to "snowball." He decided to bring along some handsome boys to help his cause. In reality these boys talk big talk, when it came down to it, they stood on the side giggling. Brayden was so giddy because a girl older then him asked him to skate. I asked what they talked about and he said, "Nothing...I didn't even know her."

Brayden is seriously the best boy. Last summer he had a really rough patch and I wasn't sure we'd make it through the pre-teen years. Since then he has grown up so much. He has had to learn different coping mechanisms for school, home and friends. He makes good choices and is obedient. He is friendly and outgoing and most people he's around adore him. He is always making somebody laugh. He is an excellent soccer player (really he's excellent at anything he tries) and strives to always become better. His teacher in school loves him! He completes his work and helps other children. He loves school and learning, especially history. He has quite a few friends at school and on his soccer team that have different religions then us. He respects those kids and is always wanting to learn about why they believe what they do. He is never afraid to stand up for his standards and is always sharing his beliefs with others. Just recently a few friends on his soccer team were using bad language. He asked them if they would stop swearing in front of him because it made him uncomfortable. Most of his friends have respected him for this and continue to follow his example. Brayden has a kind heart and is always concerned with how I'm feeling. He snuggles with me and loves late night chats. He is very open and we talk about things like girls, religions, school, family, friends...and his recent favorite...puberty:)
