I can't really call my blog "Daily Life with the Davis'" if i only post once a month. I don't see that improving with summer fast approaching, so I guess I might need to change the blog name.
Back in April we hosted a Minute to Win it party with some friends. We had the best time ever! We laughed and laughed until we peed...literally. Since I planned the games, and had done them once before at different party, I knew we were going to win!
The games started with "Hanky Panky." You have to pull Kleenex from a box with one hand as fast as you can. I took on the challenge of this game. We lost.
Next up was a cookie game it had to go from your forehead to your mouth with out dropping...We lost (although Mike did much better then I can do!)
The next game was unwinding this crepe paper. I thought I had the perfect technique but, we lost.
Heather, Katie, Me, Allison and Becca.
Mike played the next game. You had to guzzle the soda just enough until it balanced on the side. Mike totally dominated this round! Their were a few that struggled though. This is a pic of Betsy trying to give Gentry some tips (I don't think he was impressed with her suggestions.)
In this pic it shows how hard we were all laughing! Mike couldn't catch his breath. Ryan was having such a hard time so he kept "accidentally" spilling the soda. He didn't think we would catch on to what he was doing.
Gentry, Ryan, Mike, Brent and Gerry
This game you had to keep the balloons in the air for at least one minute. The guys were all worried that a minute wasn't near long enough, but after only keeping them in the air for about 5 seconds they realized they weren't as talented as they thought. And yes, we lost this one too.
We didn't get pictures of "Junk In the Trunk" or "Flying high." We however did get video, I just hope that NEVER resurfaces. Let's just say, doing a back bend, doesn't help the balls come out of the box any quicker. If you can guess, I didn't win this one either.
In "Flying High" you tie a kite to your belt loop and have to keep it in the air. Mike actually did really good but Allison totally dominated everyone!
This game you had to suck as up the M&M's and transfer them to another bowl all within in a minute.
i came really close in this game, but no luck.
The last game you had to put Vaseline on our nose and transfer cotton balls from one bowl to another. It was WAY hard. I had Vaseline and cotton stuck to my face forever. I was not successful at this, and therefore, we lost.
This was the best night. Nothing is better then hanging out with good friends, laughing, talking, and acting silly. I feel so blessed to have good friends that both Mike and I have a good time with. I can't wait for Round 2. We will dominate it (even if i have to practice before hand.)
