mErRy cHriStMaS!
Here are a few pictures from Christmas day. I forgot my camera as we went from house to house so these are the pics that I got from our house. We had a great day. And as always, at the end of the day we felt overwhelmed with gratitude for all that we had received. We are spoiled.

Dear Toothfairy....
Brayden,
I am so proud of you for pulling out your own tooth.
I found your tooth in the garbage can last night. I
took your tooth with me and I'm going to turn it into
a special shining star.
Love the Tooth Fairy.
PS Thanks for the Note.

Gender Confusion, Crazy Kids, and What Do I Do?
He has started to develop his own little personality. Some days he's the devil himself and other days he is just so sweet. I love that he is starting to talk and wanting to do things just like the big kids. He is so fun. I just went to get his pictures taken and they turned out so cute. It just reminded me that maybe he's not turning out to be the devil that I think he is. It just reminds me I need to step back and enjoy more of the "little" moments. I like this quote that was given at conference time:

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas
Brayden got to put the top of the tree on, he was so proud of himself. This morning Mike woke up and made us all breakfast and he put the kids breakfast on the "special" plate and Brayden said "Oh yeah, I'm special cause I put the top of the tree on huh?" I didn't know it would mean so much to him.

Gratitude
I haven't posted for a couple days, and I'm sorry, I was being a little negative. I know life happens and it doesn't always happen the way we want it to. And you know what, I'm ok with that. I think I was just a little sleep deprived, and getting a little grouchy, and what a better place to complain to...my computer. I just need to remember their are a lot of people reading it. Maybe a journal would be a more appropriate place:) But since my last post things are looking up for us. We have gotten rid of the stomach flu. I had the chance to go out for some much needed girl time. We had a good Thanksgiving. Mike has had the last couple of days off and it's given us the opportunity to get some stuff done around the house. We spent the day cleaning and organizing so we can get ready to put up Christmas decorations. I didn't wake up and shop all the crazy sales today, but we did go out later and buy a few Christmas presents and it just got me so excited for the Christmas season! I love seeing all the Christmas decorations and hearing the Christmas music. We started shopping early this year so we can try and enjoy the holidays a little bit more this year. I'm so glad we decided to that. Now we can sit back and enjoy each other and our family. I truly am so blessed.
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. (Source:Melody Beattie)

Friends are the threads that hold our lives together
I again am just so overwhelmed with all the service that has been given to our family this past week. But let me tell you a story that topped it all for me. I'm not sharing it cause I want you to feel bad for me. But because I am truly grateful. We had spent Wednesday evening at the viewing and my mom so graciously came to the viewing and then took my kids. We finally got home, Brayden was having a hard time with his asthma but we got that under control, and we got the kids in bed around 9:30. We were exhausted from the night, but had a lot on our minds so we couldn't sleep. Finally around midnight we started trying to get to sleep. A half hour later Brayden woke up having an asthma attack, and when I went in to help him his room REEKED of throw up. Kade had thrown up, and then fallen asleep in it. We help Brayden and got him calmed down. So now we are cleaning up throw up and bathing kids at 1:00 in the morning. Side note: Kaylee is now awake too:) We finally get them all calmed down. I took Kade out on the couch so Mike could try and get some rest. And I spent the rest of the night catching throw up in a bowl and wondering what on earth I was going to do with Kade during the funeral in the upcoming hours. I couldn't take him to the church and have in puke all over in the chapel. I had had many people offer to watch my kids but vomit and getting their children sick was never in the equation. So at 6:30 am Kade finally fell asleep and 15 min later my alarm went off. Yes your right, I got ZERO sleep that night. I hopped in the shower and began thinking of the ward list and any women that A) were at home B) had no children at home that we would infect and C) wouldn't mind cleaning up my child's vomit. And then I got on the phone and began calling people. This is so NOT my personality, I hate calling people, and I hate asking people to help me. But I was SO desperate! I called people that I normally don't even associate with. I called people that I haven't even talked to before. I desperately begged them "Can I bring my vomiting child over to your house?" I had 3 women willing to drop all their plans, rearrange their schedules, and take care of my child that was throwing up! My mom then took the rest of the day off of work to go pick up Kade after the funeral, and take care of him the rest of the day. This will forever be a lesson to me. How willing am I to help someone in need? Even if it's somebody I don't know so well. How often do I check my caller ID when someone calls and mumble "Oh what do they want today?" and then not answer the phone. I am so grateful that these sisters were there and answered their phone when I called and were willing to serve me that day. Thank you to everybody that has been their for us.
