Lately Kaylee has been a little obsessed with the movie Hairspray. Come on, who wouldn't be? Troy from Highschool musical is in it! She told me, "Mom they made his hair go up like this, and back like this, and it looks all wet. Oh mom he's so handsome!" (reference picture for what's she's talking about.) She is constantly singing the songs and dancing around like they do in the movie. And I will have to admit, I went out with a bunch of girls and I watched the movie once, but I guess I didn't pay too close attention to much of anything. Well the other day we were driving in the car and Brayden, my little rule follower, tells me I shouldn't be letting Kaylee watch Hairspray. I ask him why. He said, "Mom, Troy (They still refer to him as Troy cause that was his name in HSM) says Kiss my A!" I was a little shocked and embarrassed because my 7 year old was reprimanding me and I certainly don't want Kaylee watching it over and over if that is what is being said. Well Kaylee in her prissy little snotty attitude continues to put Brayden in check., because she's afraid that she isn't going to get to watch the movie anymore. She says (basically snapping her fingers and cocking her head back and forth at me) "That is NOT what he says Mom! He says Kiss my ask!" It was so hilarious. I guess it's good even after the many times she had seen the show she hadn't picked up on the real word. I guess I need to review the shows my kids are watching a little better! I had a good laugh about it though.
