Let the Games begin...
I wanted the whole trip to California to be filled with fun adventurous things. But, the whole reason we went there was for Brayden's soccer tournament. So, we spent a majority of our time on the soccer fields. The first day of the tournament Brayden played 2 games. We woke up early, ate a yummy breakfast at the hotel, then it was off to the park. I don't think Brayden's team quite new what to expect, this was their very first out of state tournament. They definitely went into this unprepared. Within 5 minutes of the first game they had been scored on 3 times. After a little bit they had it figured out and played much better. But they still couldn't make up for those goals they gave away in the beginning. They ended up losing the first game.
Each game was ended with a huge drink of chocolate milk!
In between the games the team ordered a gigantic subway sandwich. The boys thought it was so cool.
We ate a lot of treats
Chilled in the shade
And hung out with our friends. These soccer friends have become so close and such good friends.
Game 2 the boys played a little better, but it still wasn't clicking for them. It was definitely something very different for them. Had they been playing their "A game," I think they would have won. But they didn't and they ended up losing this game as well.
The boys were a little down by the end of the day, but that quickly subsided by the time we got back to the hotel. Almost everybody ended up at the swimming pool. Talk about PAR-TAY! The kids played and played and played!
Game of Monkey in the Middle. Funny, Ashton was always in the middle.

Well, at least some of us were there to party....
The boys had a very good teaching session with their coach that night. They watched video from their games that day. The boys learned a lot from the things in which they could improve on. And then we all went to bed very early again.
